Heart Transplant

Installed a factory rebuilt Stanadyne pump from AccurateDiesel.com yesterday.  Truck was having problem starting when warm after sitting for 30-60 minutes.  Would start after allowing to cool.   That usually means the pump head has worn and there is too much clearance. 

Glow plugs

Used 60g.  Take longer to heat up but are self regulating.  Truck starts much better now.  However another puddle is under the engine.  Another post to follow.  :-(

Manual glow plug

Having problem starting truck.  After long drive will not start after sitting for 30 minutes.  This overrides auto glow plug controller.  Mid 70s Ford truck starter relay and momentary switch. 

Shocks

One of the first updates. Removed these completely shot shocks. Front ones did not have bushings. All four could be compressed by hand and did not rebound. Wonder if white ones are original.

Throttle shaft seals

Another long day working.  The seals on the throttle shaft started to leak a couple days ago.  Would puddle the ground after driving.  A drip every 5 seconds.  Have to remove the intake to slide the shaft out then replace two o-rings.  Used some from the Harbor Freight Viton o-ring kit.
